Reporting to the Site Operations Program Manager, this position will provide project management leadership for initiatives being delivered to all our platforms. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams across eBay Global Classifieds (Networking, Data Center Infrastructure, Product Development, Quality Assurance, etc). The Project Manager will ensure that the project deliverables by Site Operations meet both business needs and technology requirements.
Result areas:
Structure / shape
Align priorities, goals and Site Operations deliverables in collaboration with other teams across eBay Global Classifieds or third parties that take part in the project. Goal is to set a realistic scope and manage expectations regarding budget/resourcing, timelines, impact on organization and approach of the project.
Control
Control project execution within the scope set regarding budget, timelines, organization, information and quality. Goal is to ensure the project progress.
Align / Communicate
Continuous alignment of project tasks with the project goals aiming to maximize the effect of project efforts. The scope of this alignment is broader than the project organization, all stakeholders of a project will be reckoned with.
Administrate project file
Provide relevant information to all project members and stakeholders to enable those people to keep themselves up to date. Typical examples are, task list, issues, status reports, project plans, etc. Provide an accessible project file, reflecting project status and project history
Coach / direct
Coach and direct project members in a way that the projects benefit from motivated, independent people, enjoying their jobs. Provide feedback to project members about their (expected)project contribution and performance in the project.

Bachelor degree in IT / Information management
At least four years of work experience in IT / Information management
Solid technical background, preferably experience with Internet applications.
Should understand fundamental internet technology concepts to enable effective problem management
Two years of demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing project implementations from start to finish
Knowledge of (agile)project management software tools and (agile)project management techniques
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management
Demonstrated ability to work with and articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Competencies: Analytical skills, Communication skills (verbal and written), result oriented, organizational skills, perseverance
Willingness to travel and work abroad
Fluent in English (and Dutch) (written and spoken)
